Reality Realty Professionals Virginia Heroes
Participating in the Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team Event During Super Bowl XLVIII Week
West Orange, N.J., January 26, 2014 – To raise awareness and support for military servicemen and women who lost a limb while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, 9-11 first responders from New York and New Jersey fire departments and their families, the Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team (WWAFT), and legends from the New York Giants, New York Jets and other NFL teams will participate in a charity flag football game on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. As part of their ongoing mission to support the nation’s heroes, Reality Realty Professionals Virginia Heroes (www.VirginiaHeroes.com), Leading Northern Virginia Real Estate Company in Va., D.C. and Md. and second in the nation, will be participating in the Super Bowl week event.
The WWAFT is composed of U.S. military service members living with disabilities after losing limbs while serving their country in various combat theaters. Joining Phil McConkey, Joe Klecko and Rocky Bleier will be NFL Hall-of-Famers Jack Youngblood and Anthony Munoz, Green Bay Packer legend Jerry Kramer, ESPN’s Tim Hasselbeck and more than 30 other former stars of the Giants, Jets and other NFL teams. Retired Giant Phil McConkey, retired Jet Joe Klecko and retired Pittsburgh Steeler Rocky Bleier are honorary captains for the game.
Having had the opportunity to support the WWAFT when they squared off against the Washington Redskins and NFL Alumni in Virginia last November, Reality Realty Professionals Virginia Heroes was thrilled when they were invited to participate in this WWAFT Super Bowl XLVIII event that combines hero awareness, philanthropy and community support.
“We’re incredibly humbled and blessed to be invited back to support our Amputee Warriors as the NFL kicks off Super Bowl media week,” explained Reality Realty Professionals Virginia Heroes Broker/Owner Samuel Cachola. “It is through events like this that both spirits and awareness are raised!” Cachola further amplified by explaining, “This not about money or the physical display. Events like this are about the spirit, healing, perseverance and new beginnings … fill their souls and you make them whole.”
They are going back to where it all started on September 11, 2001 – New York City. When the WWAFT takes the field against the first responders who answered the call that fateful day, the nation will be seeing more than a football game. This event is about the sacrifice made by those who answered the call, the perseverance it takes to go forward, and a nation that will be forever indebted.
As a member of the Board of Directors of Stafford Junction, which supports at-risk youth, Cachola will be able to support his local community by honoring two young men from Stafford Junction with the opportunity to join in the event. The Reality Realty team is using this opportunity to show the children from Stafford Junction that hard work, discipline, service and faith always pay off.
Cachola explained the value of exposing youth to this event, stating, “What happens on the battlefield is about protecting liberties and freedoms for the next generation. Well, on January 29 in Essex County, these warriors, first responders and NFL athletes will have a chance to see firsthand the positive impact they have on youth through their example of courage, perseverance and leadership both on the battlefield and the ‘gridiron’ of life.”
For Cachola and his team, this is a dream come true. They will get the opportunity to share Reality Realty Professionals’ vision of Caremenship™ and Real Estate Artistry while spreading awareness about our national Heroes against the backdrop of Super Bowl XLVIII. This event will be center stage during Super Bowl media week, honoring the men and women who make a difference in our lives, especially those most affected by 9/11.

Alexandria Virginia 8th Graders Debate: The Dream Act
(Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors )
“Who is Right”
Supported by Reality Realty Virginia Heroes” and
Local “Organo Gold Coffee” Distributor
March 19, 2014, GW1 Middle School, 1005 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22301 at 6:30pm – “Knowing the intent behind the passage of the Dream Act, does it further separate immigrants from complete immersion into American society?” This is the topic of this year’s Dream Act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) debate being held at GW1 Middle School. Students will learn that with thorough research, careful study of facts, enhanced vocabulary skills and strategic position to prove a point can help change the world. Mrs. Bernadette McQuaige – Johnson is a driven teacher that strives to provide each of her students an opportunity to demonstrate his or her ability to attain and achieve so much more than what he or she currently believes possible. As an educator for more than 20 years she epitomizes common beliefs and ideals for her students Reality Realty Virginia Heroesand a local area Organo Gold Coffee Distributor, have partnered to honor our local Educators and Students during the occasion. “We are humbled by the opportunity to help facilitate an undertaking that will not only teach our children to think for themselves and form opinions, but give them the courage to speak on them to facilitate change” said Charles Hoskins, Real Estate Artisan™. “Teaching our children to pass test is not enough”, Said Charles, “We have to give them a purpose so they don’t just drift through life.” We need a nation of thinkers, not drifters!
A great deal of media attention has been placed on our immigrant population and understanding how the Dream Act impacts our economy so focusing on this current topic for the debate this year provides great insight for our future leaders. GW1’s 8th grade Honors Civics and Economics classes demonstrate their resourcefulness and eagerness to tackle such diverse topics in their debate to gain a broader view of the inner workings of our government. The 8th graders passion to push the envelope by tackling difficult topics comes as no surprise, as they are following in the footsteps of such notable alumni as: Jim Morrison of The Doors, Willard Scott of NBC‘s The Today Show, and John Phillips and Cass Elliot, both of The Mamas & the Papas. The school is also credited with being Joe Namath’s professional debut hosting a Jets and Oilers preseason game in 1965.

“Salute to our Military” Video Holiday Card Program
Receives Support from Reality Realty Virginia Heroes
December 13, Fredericksburg, VA – A “Salute To Our Military” is helping to bridge the gap between service members and their families during the holidays. Regional Radio power house B101.5 and Reality Realty Virginia Heroes, brokerage, have partnered to honor our local Heroes during the holidays. “We are humbled by the opportunity to enable service men and women to ‘connect’ with family while deployed in defense of our great nation,” said Sam Cachola, founder, Reality Realty Virginia Heroes.
“Years ago, all we had were static filled, push to talk phone calls,” explains Cachola. “It was like using a walkie-talkie to call half way around the world. It was frustrating to say the least, but today we have programs like ‘Salute to our Military,’ piping video interviews of our service men and women right to the screens of their loved ones! Lots of media will flood area homes this holiday season, but the most important content on the air will be heard by wives, children, parents and friends as they tune in their radios and hear the voices of their very own heroes wishing them ‘Happy Holidays!’ B101.5 goes the extra mile and plays the greetings all day long, honoring our local heroes by giving the community the opportunity to remember those serving abroad.”
Cachola, himself a disabled Marine Corps veteran, went on to say, we embrace our mission to support Heroes in our community, ensuring readiness, security and sustainability. When we were approached to support our nation’s warriors through the ‘Salute To Our Military’ program, we knew we had to make it happen. Serving our Heroes takes on many forms, but when you have the opportunity to connect Heroes and family, especially during the holidays, it’s a no brainer. At Virginia Heroes, that’s just what we do…serve those who serve us. We’re blessed to be a part of this program, thanking all U.S. service members for the risks they take, the sacrifices they make, and the selfless service they give.”
Heroes participated from as far away as Iraqi, Afghanistan, Asia, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Okinawa, Guantanamo Bay Cuba, Greece, Italy, Alaska, and Honduras. Worldwide service was rewarded with an opportunity to give a worldwide E-HUG, delivered to families daily on B101.5, starting on Thanksgiving and running thru the New Year, courtesy of Reality Realty Virginia Heroes. They’re also featured on the web at www.B1015.com and youtube: B1015Buzzy. To learn more about the event, please visit today.
